God can keep us from falling and fulfill His purpose for us

Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall (1 Corinthians 10:12). Here Paul is warning those who think they are strong because of their superior experience. See the example of Israelites, who left Egypt and pass through the wilderness by the mighty manifestation of God’s miracles. Even after all these superior experience, they failed utterly in front of temptations because they were depending on themselves and not on God. Only two (Joshua and Caleb) out of 6 lakhs could enter the promise land.
Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall. (1 Cor 10:11-12).
Paul’s purpose is not to discourage the standing but to give the warning against falling and a great encouragement to stand on.

God does not want His children to fall but He wants them to be like Him by growing in holiness. So He is allowing temptations in our life and the purpose of that temptation is our growth in holiness to become like God.

God is faithful in keeping us from falling on temptation but we have to be humble and trust in Him to keep us from falling

No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. ( 1 Cor 10:11-13)

God is faithful in keeping us from falling on temptation but we have to be humble and trust in Him to keep us from falling. He always provides the way of escape along with the temptation so that we can endure the temptation.

If we trust our God then He will be able to keep us from falling in all time and circumstance and we should remain thankful and give praises to Him.

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever.(Jude 1:24-25)

If you are standing for the Lord and the temptation is like a Great Mountain in your way for the Lord and feels weak and powerless for fulfilling God’s purpose then do not forget God is there to work on behalf of you with His mighty power and He will do it for you. You have to humble down yourself and trust in Him to proclaim His grace. See the interference of God for Zerubbabel

Then he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘What are you, O Great Mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring forth the top stone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”‘”. Also the word of the LORD came to me, saying,” The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will finish it. (Zech. 4:6-9)
